Swizzels Squeletons Cinema Ad
Brief
We partnered with confectionary giant, Swizzels, to promote the launch of their brand new addition to their famed Squashies line-up, Squeletons. Having a longstanding and successful relationship with Swizzels, they knew One Agency had the right tricks up their sleeve to make this their best launch yet.
Process
Squeletons are strawberry, sour apple, and orange flavoured skeleton shaped foam sweets all wrapped up in black and white striped packaging. One Agency noticed an uncanny and unmissable opportunity to tie our campaign in with the release of the blockbuster film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Setting out the spooky narrative, our motion design and illustrator teams worked together to create a storyboard. With the client happy, design work began and the campaign was well underway. Everything was done in-house, including illustrations, 3D effects, voiceover script, and voiceover tests. The voiceover was outsourced to professional actors, who were meticulously chosen, before the final audio was sent to be tested by an external audio engineer.
Results
To support their advert, One Agency orchestrated an influencer event for Friday 13th September. The invite only event takes place in Wilmslow and premieres the 30-second advert and new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film. This is to be part of a larger nationwide marketing campaign including digital outdoor advertising, and in-store promotions.
The advert can be seen for 6 weeks during Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’s trailers starting September 6th 2024 in Pearl and Dean venues, and for 2 weeks on ITVX VoD starting October 17th 2024.
Testimonials
“From being the headline sponsor at Scare City, producing an incredible CGI earlier this year celebrating their Billionth Variety Bag, and everything in between, this campaign is their most exciting and biggest to date. Within days of realising Beetlejuice Beetlejuice would be in cinemas this September, we had a plan of action. It’s amazing to watch it all come together.”
