Ekko is a prepaid debit card brand that encourages people to put their everyday spending towards helping the planet. With this in mind, transactions go towards stopping plastic bottles from entering the ocean and planting new trees. To this end, Ekko asked us to create a 1 minute animation that would promote their groundbreaking offering across social media and paid campaigns, alongside engaging static ads.
The beginning of our process included crafting moodboards and initial storyboarding to map out how we would tell the Ekko story visually. Those storyboards were then developed further to begin the animation stage. To round out the process, our team of creatives chose music, wrote the script, and flexed their motion design muscles before completing the full animation. The finished product succeeded in using Ekko’s bright, colourful branding to inspire and empower people to make a difference in the fight against climate change.
This was further supported by a comprehensive paid media campaign to drive app installs on Google, Facebook, and TikTok.
The resulting animation delivered on the brief and surpassed expectations, with an engaging and dynamic video perfect for driving people towards the app across social media, ads, and more. The accompanying paid campaign resulted in a huge 2,731 app installs overall.
