Kérastase

Brief

At the request of Kérastase, One Agency were tasked with promoting the brand’s famed Gloss Absolu in NYC Sephoras, which we achieved with a pre-hype animation ahead of the incredible Kérastase event.

Process

Our Motion Designers brought Kérastase Gloss Absolu to life with a dreamy dose of CGI magic at Sephora, NYC! The team recreated the product in extreme detail, and added a new simulation layer to give the liquid inside the bottle ultra realistic movement.

 

An external videographer visited iconic NYC streets and the Sephora flagship store in Broadway to capture footage to enable our Motion Design team to easily track every frame and seamlessly integrate a glossy transition and hyper-real 3D product. When imagining the concept, Kérastase pictured a dreamy yet realistic animated pipette glossing New York City’s Sephora, turning the entire store the same shade of delicate pink as the Gloss Absolu range. 

 

Tying the campaign together, our team also incorporated a 3D model of a yellow taxi, synonymous with NYC, and branded all road signs and traffic lights with Kérastase through clever VFX.

 

Across both CGIs, the 3D Gloss Absolu bottle was modelled by our internal team. They gave the product a dreamy appearance by using a real time caustics shader, making it glow in every scene, alongside animating the liquid to mimic the movement of the bottle

Results

From dreamy pipette animations giving New York’s buildings a much needed glossy shine, to a custom interior display and in-store advert, this campaign was the perfect way to build hype ahead of the glamorous Kérastase event! Working on this campaign was our absolu pleasure and everyone involved in the creative process.
